Installing Durable and Cost-Effective Storm Windows

Stained Glass Windows Will Generally Withstand Normal Weather for 50 to 100 Years or Longer

Storm Windows

Maintenance can be as simple as replacing a broken lite, reglazing, or rebuilding. A properly installed storm window will greatly reduce maintenance costs and has other significant benefits.

I have been building sash and storm windows for stained glass panels for many years and I have never had anything but good comments about the results. Drafts, sweating glass, and noise are all greatly reduced and things are warmer.

Storm windows are cost-effective for the following reasons:

  • Thermal considerations

  • Damage prevention to the stained glass.

  • Leakage and sash/wood preservation.

  • Noise and sound reduction

  • Greatly reduced stained glass maintenance
